Master Plan

North Idaho Bikeways created the Bonner County Master Plan for bike trail development. It was adopted by county commissioners as part of their Comprehensive Plan. (If you would like a copy of the Master plan please contact us.)

On Going Planning

North Idaho Bikeways has worked for years with governmental and volunteer agencies regarding bike/pedestrian development and safety.

• On going consultation with Idaho Transportation Department regarding bike/pedestrian path placement and maintenance on projects.
• Member of Ponderay City Gem Team regarding development of bike trails
• Member of City of Sandpoint Gem Team regarding bike trail planning.
• Member of Idaho Dept. of Transportation Garwood to Sandpoint Hwy 95 project to develop a bike/pedestrian trail
• Working closely with Sandpoint Advisory committee regarding sidewalk development.

Sharing Ideas

North Idaho Bikeway has made presentations to nearby city groups seeking to build their own trail network, including Bonners Ferry, Hope, Priest River, Rathdrum, and Priest Lake communities.
